WOW! (Survey Time!)

It's quiet around here! Miss us?
Guess we were too distracted by "love", and forgot to post!
{snort}

The hens are peeking away at ways to change up The Story Matters...
(there is smoke coming from the ears and everything!)

As designers terms end, and many move on, we must contemplate-design team call? Guest design team call? Change the kits? Change the challenges? Change it all? Modify? (I think we all have a little bit of ADD to contend with , it seems! And who doesn't like change if it's good change, right?)

So answer this survey, and your up for an i-bond from Imagininsce AND three packs of glue (plain, glitter and colored!)
Let me tell you how NICE it is having a cordless glue gun in the scrap room AND around the house!!

1-Do you subscribe to a kit club, and why that one? Or why not?

2-Do you journal regularly? And would you like to journal more?

3-What is the most important thing to you when considering a kit to purchase?
Would you rather have more product and spend more, or do you want a low price, even it means less product?

4-Who are your favorite manufactures of product, or do you care?

5-What have you liked about The Story Matters? What don't you like?

AND add eny comments you think would be helpful! :)
WOuld you want pictures or instructions of product in the kits?
Do you care who the designers are, and do you want more tutorials?
Stuff like that! :)

OK! Give us your answers and we enter you in the price drawing!

I currently don't subscribe to a kit club. Why, I have to watch my budget. I feel I don't journal enough. I would journal more if my writing was better! The cost would be number one for me right now. Followed by the contents. Even with less products, I would prefer a low price kit option. I like all of the product lines. LOL! I liked the kits when I got them!!! Photos and good instructions are always helpful.

1 - I currently don't subscribe to kits. I did in the past and they started piling up plus there was product in them that I didn't care for.
2 - I would love to journal more because there are so many things that happen that I don't remember and didn't take the time to write them down.
3 - The most important thing in a kit is theme for me. I have gotten really picky about what I scrapbook about (keeps me from feeling overwhelmed).
4 - As for manufactures, it really doesn't matter; I just like the paper to be a heavier weight.
5 - I love seeing your layouts and I have scraplifted some.
6 - I need inspiration so I would definitely what some photos/instructions. Also I love learning new ways of doing things.
Thanks for the chance to answer some of your questions!

I don't subscribe to a monthly kit. I have subscribed to many in the past and I still need to use them! I don't journal much. If it is a really cute story or something I want to remember I will, but mostly I like just a title and pictures. The most important part of a kit is the definitely the paper. I like a kit that coordinates. Perferably the same line. I also look for flowers and cool embellishments. ABC stickers turn me off. I have soo many already. I want a kit that has really cool stuff in it, rather than just more stuff. New stuff preferably. My fav manufactures are G45, Prima, Webster's, BoBunny, GCD. I think pictures or a fun tutorial in a kit is definitely a plus. I hope this helps! Email me if you want any more info :)

1. I do not subscribe to a kit club because I haven't found one that fits me.
2. I would love to journal more so that when I actually sit down to scrap, I don't get a headache trying to remember the details (LOL).
3. Most important in a kit would be theme and kit coordination. Love paper and embellishments.
4. Favorite manufactures (just to name a few) Graphic 45, Prima, Dear Lizzy, BoBunny, Tim Holtz, 7 Gypsies, and DCWV.
5. I get a lot of inspiration from The Story Matters (I have scraplifted a few times).

Any inspiration is welcome either in the form of instuctions, photos and/or tutorials for different techniques.

Hop this helps and Thank you,

1. I currently subscribe to 1 kit club. Last year I subscribed to 3, but due to finances and an overflowing stash of kits had to drop 2 of them. I kept this specific sub because it is a great value, packed with the latest products, and awesome customer service.

2. I journal sporadically, but I would like to be more consistant.

3. I wouldn't mind paying more for a kit that is packed with the a ton of the latest and cutest products.

4. Crate Paper, Pink Paislee, Studio Calico, Jillibean Soup, The Girls Paperie, October Afternoon

5. I have liked the variety of The Story Matters kits. They are always well coordinated and the DT does an excellent job showcasing the kits. I would love to see even more embellishments; particularly speciality embellies such as stamps, or embellies from etsy shops.

6.No, I do not necessarily want pictures or instructions in the kit. As long as the blog is active and the DT post inspiration and articles on the blog that is sufficent for me.

7. No, I don't care who the designers are. It's great to see well known scrappers, but that can get old. So, I also love to see new, artists too!

8.I love tutorials!

4)I love, Echo Park, Imaginisce, Cosmo Cricket, Bella Blvd, Sassafras Lass
5)I love to get inspiration from you designs
6) photos and instructions are good!

Thank you for the chance!

2. I journal some, but not nearly as much as I would like to.

3. The cost is the most important thing to me when considering a kit to purchase as well as the versatility. I think I would rather have a low price with less product.
4. At the moment my favorites are DCWV and Imaginisce.

5. I love looking at your layouts for inspiration.

I am rather new to your blog and look forward to checking it out more. I am now a follower. Thanks for the chance to win.

1 - I currerntly do NOT subscribe. I don't always have the money to subscribe, or the time to commit to it each month.

2- I like to journal on all my pages...I don't write a lot, but just a little bit about what is going on.

3- I say cost and is it "useful" for me. Like are they papers that attract me or have a purpose for me. I expect it to cost what the value, but think it is better to have a little bit of a discount.

4- I love Imaginisce, Cosmo Cricket, Bella Blvd, and pretty much anything bring and cute.

5- I enjoy the inspiration. I wish I could afford a kit here or there, but it just isn't feasible for me at this point. I hope to pick a few up in the future if they are stuff I "need" or really really want.

Do you subscribe to a kit club, and why that one? Or why not?
Right now I only subscribe to The Story Matters. I would love to do others, but I am trying to watch my money and since I don't have to pay for shipping that helps. I also love knowing that I can cancel if I need to or want to without a penalty
2-Do you journal regularly? And would you like to journal more?
I used to journal all of the time, but lately I have been letting the pictures tell more of the story and not journaling near enough.
3-What is the most important thing to you when considering a kit to purchase? Whether or not I will actually use the product or have it just sit around and take up space.
Would you rather have more product and spend more, or do you want a low price, even it means less product?
I like the lower price. I would be happy to give up some of the extra's like stamps so that there could be more cardstock and patterned paper.
4-Who are your favorite manufactures of product, or do you care? favorite lines include imaginisce (I would love to have all of their lines yummy stuff), cosmo cricket, bo bunny, tim holtz

5-What have you liked about The Story Matters? What don't you like?

the chance to get a kit that is reasonably priced and have the papers match.

I don't subscribe, the reason for me is the price, the ones that I love are $40 a month, a little steep for me.
I don't journal as much as I should. I would love to journal more, I really don't like my handwriting, lol.
I think the most important thing in a kit is will I use everything in it. I know we all have different tastes so that is really hard. I think I would like to have the option of a smaller kit so that I can still get some of the goodness that is in the larger more expensive ones. And everything coordinating in the kit is a huge plus.
I like all kinds of stuff! I love October Afternoon, Graphic 45, Cosmo Cricket, Bo Bunny, and I have seen something new to me Stella & Rose, very cute papers there too! Oh, and I want the stuff to be fresh and new :D
What I like about The Story Matters is the inspiration. I love popping in and checking out the new posts. It doesn't matter who posts, I like tutorials. Thank you so much! :)

I do not belong to a kit club at the moment, even though I would love to!
We are a one income family, and being a family of 4, I am able to spend a certain amount on my artsy addiction. LOL!! But hopefully one day I will be able to take part in one of the wonderful kit clubs.
I have kept an art journal ever since I was a young girl. Keeping an art journal helps relive daily stresses and helps my artistic-ness to come out. As of right now I play in my art journal about twice a week, but I would LOVE to have more time to play in it.
I am not apart of a monlthy kit club, but sometimes the LSS where I live has monthly kits that they sell. They normall range from $30 - $40, I wouldnt mind having more products in the kits even if it means I have to pay a tad bit more.
Because, it is totally worth it!
As I sit here in front of my laptop, I truly cannot pick just one manufacturer. I love most artsy, scrappy, creative products and for me picking one or even a few would be extremely hard LOL!!
I think The Story Matters is a wonderful art place and I love all the work your designers come up with. I would love to see some more tutorials being put up on the blog, because who doesnt love to learn new techniques and see how and what others come up with. Also, maybe featuring once a month a new "special" blog follower would also be fun. Just a thought ;)
Thank you so much for doing this giveaway!!

1-Do you subscribe to a kit club, and why that one? Or why not?

I have subbed to a few kits in the past. My latest was Studio Calico, but I just cancelled last month due to an overload of supplies. I'll be subscribing to another one soon, I'm sure!

2-Do you journal regularly? And would you like to journal more?

I make sure to journal on all of my layouts - even if it's not much. And, one of my scrappy goals this year is to journal more!

3-What is the most important thing to you when considering a kit to purchase?
Would you rather have more product and spend more, or do you want a low price, even it means less product?

I like a lot of variety. For example, the scrap-room has 4 mini kits instead of 1 large kit, which I enjoyed.

4-Who are your favorite manufactures of product, or do you care?

Oh, I care, LOL! I love Crate Paper, October Afternoon, American Crafts.. so many!

5-What have you liked about The Story Matters? What don't you like?

I love the way the DT is showcased - it's so inspiring. And, if you're looking for a new DT member, I'm here! *Wink, wink*

I currently am a member of the scrapanista club. I am in that one because I like learning all the new techniques.

I don't journal regularly because I don't like my writing but I am getting one of those Journal stamps Penny showed me so I can journal more.

For now the most important things about kits are the cost and then the contents, sometimes I just won't use the stuff and would prefer not to have to pay for a kit I won't use the stuff in. I think I would rather have a lower price kit with a smaller amount of product because I can add from my own stash or purchase if I really like something.

I really like Tim Holtz stuff and Jeni Bollin but I'm not really stuck on one person or line I like a wide variety.

I like looking at the story matters kits and your ideas I have used a few of them but I just don't have that extra cash each month. It is a bit much when I am in scrapinista.

If I had to chose between a picture of written instructions I think I would prefer the instructions. I like how it is with scrapinista now how they do both.

I don't care who the designers are, I like seeing ideas from all of the designers it gives us more to chose from.

1-Do you subscribe to a kit club, and why that one? Or why not? No - I can't commit to the monthly expense

2-Do you journal regularly? And would you like to journal more? No - I would like to do more art journaling

3-What is the most important thing to you when considering a kit to purchase?
Would you rather have more product and spend more, or do you want a low price, even it means less product? I like to have a good value - the product vs. price should be better than piece retail.

4-Who are your favorite manufactures of product, or do you care? Cosmo Cricket, Sassafrass, October Afternoon, Samantha Walker, etc.

5-What have you liked about The Story Matters? What don't you like? I like seeing the inspiring layouts!

1.) I don't subscribe to a club as I have to watch my budget.

2.) I journal when there is an important event going on or something that I feel my girls will want to remember when they are older.

3.)If I were to buy a kit, it would determine if I liked the product, colors, embellishments. The more to be creative with, the better. I wouldn't purchase a kit for more then $23 tho as again, I have to watch my budget.

4.) I really don't have a favorite company but tend to purchase My Mind's Eye products and always buy Bazzil cardstock.

5.) Your layout are always inspirational and beautiful. I usually "do my own thing" but seeing others ideas gets my creative thoughts moving. I think instructions are always good but photos for me are always more helpful. Layout ideas are always fun to look at and to admire.
Thanks Penny!

1-Do you subscribe to a kit club, and why that one? Or why not? No because I like to buy exactly what I like... I have a huge hoard, I mean stash!

2-Do you journal regularly? And would you like to journal more? I try to at least get the who, what and where on my layouts but sometimes I start gluing and forget to leave room...

3-What is the most important thing to you when considering a kit to purchase? The PRICE
Would you rather have more product and spend more, or do you want a low price, even it means less product? I don't want to commit a big portion of my limited budget to more product if I'm not sure that I will LOVE it...

4-Who are your favorite manufactures of product, or do you care? ECHO PARK, October Afternoon, 3 Bugs in a Rug, Nikki Sivils, Graphic 45, Crate Paper, Jillibean Soup... there are so many!

5-What have you liked about The Story Matters? What don't you like? I love INSPIRATION!!!!

1-Do you subscribe to a kit club, and why that one? Or why not?

I am new here, so as of yet I do not subscribe. But will look into it.

2-Do you journal regularly? And would you like to journal more?

Not on a redular basis, but would like to more often.

3-What is the most important thing to you when considering a kit to purchase?
Would you rather have more product and spend more, or do you want a low price, even it means less product?

I would rather pay more for more products. I find that most times I don't have enough products with kits.

4-Who are your favorite manufactures of product, or do you care?
I like mostly all of them, don't really stick to just one.

5-What have you liked about The Story Matters? What don't you like?
Like I said, new here, so I dont really know much about your kits, but your blog is great.

AND add eny comments you think would be helpful! :)
WOuld you want pictures or instructions of product in the kits?
Do you care who the designers are, and do you want more tutorials?
Stuff like that! :)

I love to purchase kits with instructions and picture of possible projects. But most of the time I like to think outside of the box. I always try and change the original design to make it my own, so having extra products always comes in handy.
Thanks for the chance to win, love Imaginisce. pattig161 at yahoo dot com

1-I do not subscribe to a kit. Time, money and fear of not liking the contents are all reasons I have not committed to a kit.
2-I journal when necessary. If there is a story, I explain. If it is the kids in their Halloween outfits with buckets in hand, it is pretty self explainatory.
3-coordinating products is an attraction. Not just papers but new, fun embellies are fun too!
Everyone scraps differently. Some like a lot on their pages other like cleaner lines and simple (I tend to be the latter). I, personally could get by with less in a kit)
4-new and fun is always good. not picky aboutline.
5-Would have to agree with others, scraplifted a few ideas from here.

Pictures/LO designs are always great. I love pagemaps for just that reason. I am a visual person :)

1- I don't subscribe to a kit club because I can't afford it right now as a stay-at-home mom.
2-I typically only journal when I scrap. I kind of "journal" via pictures and text on facebook. I can look back at my posts.
3- Quality product for the money. Will I really use it?

Low price as long as they can fit together.

4-Bazzil, Martha Stewart, MM, etc. Sometimes it just depends on price though. Like, I don't HAVE to have a particular brand of paper.

5-I love all of the layouts. I think I'm addicted. haha

I love tutorials. Now that I have a little one, I don't get out to my LSS, so I bascially get all my tutorials and see new products online.

Danielle said...

1. I subscribe to 2 kit clubs because I like having coordinating things with having to do it myself.
2. I journal everyday.
3.I want a kit to be worth what I pay for it, doesn't matter wether it it is $25 or $45 dollars. just worth it!
4.manufactures do not matter so much.
5.I like the sneak peeks, but I wish they would be a little more of them so we can decide if we want next months kit. It is really hard to tell from the peeks.

Which designers don't matter, but I do like having them for ideas. Sometimes my mind draws a blank when I get a kit that doesn't have a jumping of point. Especially if I don't know how I would use a certain product.

Auntie Em said...

1-I tried a kit club but didn't like it. The kits didn't go with anything I was working on.

2-No. I use to journal regularly but found it became a chore...have enough of those!

3-If I am buying a kit, I want something new and something I can't just pick up at the local craft or scrap booking store.

4-ranger, EK Success, Martha Stewart, Graphics 45, Webster's Papers, Tombow

A kit needs to have a purpose, not just be a pile of loose stuff that is thrown in a box. I have seen them with stuff from a dollar store. Not really worthwhile!
New, exciting products and clear instructions for using them. Things that are versatile and not a one trick pony.

Good Luck and thanks for sharing! :) Hope my ravings help in some way!
