More button inspiration...

So I headed to my other fellow TSM authors, to see what amazing things they had done with Charlene's buttons.  Of couse, there were plenty to choose from.  Megan created this masterpiece:

I loved how Andrea used the buttons here:

Shelley used it for the perfect center in her flower:

And Tania added it as the perfect embellishment here:

Her buttons really are gorgeous, and if you're not a kit subscriber...you should be!  Each month we have some gorgeous, exclusive buttons in there, and believe me, they are not to be missed!

Have a great, great Wednesday!

Buttons, Buttons, who's got the buttons???

Hey everyone!  It's Amy, and I'm thrilled to be hosting the TSM blog this week.  While we are all anxiously awaiting the October reveal, I thought I'd highlight one of my favorite parts of the TSM kits, the custom buttons.  I just adore them, and am amazed each month to see what Charlene creates for us!

I wanted to share some Oct sneaks with you:

Check out the cooooooooool buttons for this month!  I just love them.  In the last sneak, I actually painted them a bit just to tone them down some for the look I needed.  There is so much you can do with her buttons.  I used some brads to adhere them instead of just tying ribbon or twine through them.  See???  The possiblities are endless!

Here is your challenge...link us up to a LO/project you've created using her fabulous buttons!  You can post your projects right here in our fabulous TSM gallery!

Hope you have a great Monday!

Scraplifting...............................

When I first saw this layout in the gallery by Louise Williams I was in total awe!! I fell in love with every bit of it! Then banner, the plane, all the elements....it's just grabbed me! Louise so inspired me to create my own page using some of the same elements. Thank you Louise for posting this incredible layout in our gallery and sharing your talent with us!!

Here is a little tutorial on how I made my own half-circle banner. I used a 1 inch circle punch.

Folded it in half and apply adhesive to the inside.

Fold your circle over a piece of string or floss....and now you have a very cute banner!

Keep posting your incredible layouts to our gallery and your work may be picked for a scraplift!!

CARD WEEK CONTINUED

Here's another card I created using the September Kit.
The only thing I added was the grunge board number and a few stamps.
Everything else is the kit.

I love this card by Tania
This pinwheel is absolutely whimsical.
And the patterns on the paper work so well side-by-side

Keep checking in over the next little while for more CARD INSPIRATION,
Because if you can scrap, you can make cards.
(They are like mini layouts)

Go get your Craft On!

It's Card Week.

Were you the lucky one to get the last one?
Don't wait so long next month,,, sign up today,

Here's another card using this AWESOME Kit.
These Badges are all the rage, and very easy to make.
Simply cut 2 2x12" strips and fold the paper like a fan.
Adhere them into a circle, and then add a circle base on top.
It's that simple!
I used the Sassafras Sticker for the center,
and a simple sentiment sticker.
Whit gel pens always finish off a card.

Are you using your scraps to make cards?
Let's see them,
Post them in the gallery.

Tune in tomorrow for another fabulous card,

Meet our September Guest Designer...

We're so excited to have had Brandy join us this month. Love her designs!
Here's a bit more about the wonderful Brandy:
Hi! I’m Brandy! I live in Central Iowa with my husband John and furbaby, Diesel. I work full-time as a loan processor, part-time mortgage closer, and by night a freelance graphic designer. I have been scrapbooking for over 13 years. I love that I can combine scrapbooking with my drawing, painting, and sewing hobbies. If you were to ask me what my favorite part of this hobby is besides playing with paper, I would say remembering. When I am not scrapbooking, or working, I love to camp. I also love riding our Harley to where ever the bike takes us and documenting our many journeys.

I’ve also been so blessed to have made so many friends across the country and abroad through this wonderful hobby. I’m so excited and honored to be this month's guest designer at The Story Matters!!

And her beautiful work that she did with the September kit:

Awesome! Thank you Brandy!

Check it Out!

I don't know about you guys,
but I looove making cards.
What else are you going to do with your scrap?
This week Im going to be bringing you cards, cards cards.
All made from TSM kit.

Here's my first one.
I simply sprayed mist over a white cardstock base,
and sprinkled some black paint as well.
i used my good ol' Cuttlebug to die cut the hearts.
And then handcut a mat for each one.,
I then adhered them to the front of the card with my sewing machine.
( I like the imperfect look)
And added a sticker sentiment.
This one was so easy with very little paper.

Check out this gorgeous card by Megan...
I adore the yellow base ( it is my favorite color)
And you won't believe how easy it is to sew on paper.
( I dare you to try)
And doesn't it totally complete the look?

So tune in tomorrow for AUTHOR'S CHOICE
and another card.
