OK, here goes (be sure to pass it on to your friends)

SO... ya wonderin' why all the questions?
Bet ya could NEVER figure it out. (yeah, right)

The Story Matters name and concept (that YOUR story matters) is being taken over by a store (The LARGEST scrapbooking store in Eastern Iowa, with almost 4000 square feet, that has been going strong for over 4 years!) that would like to launch a kit club. But not just ANY kit club with the same offerings, and the same price... oh no...

We want YOUR input!!

We want to know what will interest you, bring you to the web, involve you in a community, keep your interest... we have some FABULOUS ideas on our own, but it wouldn't be complete without YOUR input!!

We are making some changes, some designers will change, some will stay...
The kits will be available on a limited edition basis the first ~3 months while we cater a website to YOUR needs!

So this is your chance to make this YOUR kit club...

WHAT do YOU need to tell your story THAT much easier!!

Tell us!

We're listening!!

Watch for the VERY limited addition kit to be available February 5th!!!

I am subscribed to one, but I used to get two.

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?

I love embellishment heavy kits, and they MUST come with good quality cardstock.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

Very important. It depends on the size of the kit.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

Published doesn't matter much. I would LOVE to see scrapliftable layouts. Simple, but gorgeous with lots of space for journaling.

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?

New product, unusual embellishment additions, price, and the option to choose from more than one kit per month.

1. Subscribed to a kit club? No, I am not, even though I drool over them on the internet and then that getting a kit in the mail would be so awesome.
Price is the biggest reason why and afraid to commit with out seeing first.
2. Most important to me? I guess would be the quality of the product and if it is stuff that I would actually use.

3. Change about a kit club, hard to say since I am not subscribed, but maybe the 6 month committment is kind of scary also.

4. How Important is price? Right now price is very important to me. It seems like most of the clubs I have looked at have higher prices than I am willing to commit to along with a 6 month committment. Would prefer something more around say 20 a month
5. See in a design team. To be honest while I love looking at all of the awesome work that DT members submit, most of it just isn't my style. Maybe a few more simple layouts and projects without all of the layers.

6. I always enjoy looking at the colors and fun stuff included in each months kits on the websites.

Two, Memory Works & Studio Calico.

a, e, d, c, b

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?

I love them both.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

Depends on the quality and quantity of products included, but I think to be competative you need to be in the under $30 range.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

Variety...I think being able to see all the different takes on the same kit keeps people interested and excited. A potpourri of talent.

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?

I love seeing how these two kit clubs coordinate paper, embellishments, etc. It forces me to think outside of the box and helps me to coordinate my own supplies and mix/match designers, etc. Price is huge. New, trendy products is huge.

1-Are you subscribed to a kit club? If not, why? If you are, how many? No, because I haven't ever found one that offers consistently the products I like best.

a) products in kit
b) offerings other than "main kit" (project kits, products used by designers, etc.)

a and b are most important to me.

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?

Consistently have products that I like. It would also be nice to actually be subscribed and get a sneaky peeky well before they ordered so that you could actually choose NOT to buy that month's kit. Maybe like a book club...where you have a commitment to buy a certain number of kits.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

The kit would have to be worth the price, not altogether lopsided, like I've seen. Just because you have a design team and one exclusive design element does not mean you should charge an arm and a leg for that.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

The designs, maybe more artsey and less run of the mill...

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?

I haven't really found one YET! But there's always hope.

1-Are you subscribed to a kit club? If not, why? If you are, how many?
Yes, one at the momment.

2-What is most important to you?
a) product in the kit is most important. I want the newest stuff. Lots of different manufacturers in one kit.

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?
The option to not get the kit if you dont care for the contents would be nice.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?
Very important. I should be able to get 5 layouts out of a kit.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? I like to see what can be done with the kit by many different scrapping styles right away when I get it.

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?
Again the product and the designers

Nothing, I am completely happy with the one I am in

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

Price is very important to me because my family has fallen on hard times recently. The size of the kit and what shipping will add to that price are factors I look at for kit clubs.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

I like to see a variety of talent. I enjoy looking at the artsy type of layouts, but I am the most interested in layouts that would be easy for me to use every day.

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?

The content of the kits, price, as well as options, but I most enjoy being in a kit club that has a very personable owner that takes part in the community and has a genuine interest in the subscribers.

Eastern Iowa Huh!? I live in Ia and I wonder which store it is!!
1. Are you subscribed to a kit club?
I am not at this time but I have been in the past
Scarlet Lime
Kraft Girl Kits
and I will get a Noel Mignion kit everyonce in a while.

2. What is most important to you?
a)I love the products first and formost!!!! I love kits that have extra little dodah. Dodah is all the bits and bobbles that you may never find in a scrapbook store. No matter how awesome everything else is I would not get the kit if it does not have great stuff in it. Embellishments!!!! That is what makes a kit great. That is why I love Scarlet Lime kits and Noel Mignion kits.
d) The design team always inspires me. Even if I don't ever lift an idea it can get my mojo flowing. Just like this challenge blog has for so long!!!
E) Contests and challenges makes me feel a little more connected to a kit and builds up loyalty.
B) I love when there are extra add on kits especially if they are a specific project kit. But by no means do I need one.
C) online community this is not a necessary thing at all. But it always makes it a lot of fun.

3- What would I change about your current kit club?
The price is why I endded my sub to Scarlet Lime, and there were not enough embellies and extra stuff in Kraft Girls. I would love a SL kit at a cheaper price!!! LOL!

4. How important is price to you?
It is important. I would not be able to pay $50 a month to get a sub to a kit club. Around $30 would be the most I could do. But it also depends on the size of the kit and everything that comes in it.

5. WHat do you want to see in a design team?
I don't think it matters if they are well known or newcomers. As long as they inspire. I love to be able to lift designs or ways that they use embellies.

6. What draws me to certain kits is the whole package. I love SL and NM kits because they have beautiful papers that coordiate well, awesome embellies, lots of different embellies even if it means that you only get a couple of it. and what the design team does with the kit. That is how I was first drawn to these kits. The pictures the club took of these kits made them look very eye appealing!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with!!!!

1-Are you subscribed to a kit club? If not, why? If you are, how many?

No, not at the moment, I have subscribed to a couple though. Think I'm not a sibscriber right now, because I like to choose from month to month if I want a kit or not.

2-What is most important to you? (you can choose more than one, just put them in order!)
*Feel free to add notes!!
a) products in kit
b) offerings other than "main kit" (project kits, products used by designers, etc.)
c) online community
d) designer (design team) examples/involvement/interaction
e) contests, challenges and blog activity

Definetely a) Products in kit, but a blog with inspiration from a good DT is not bad either:)

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?

I'm not a subscriber, so hard to say. But I prefer kits that includes lots of unique goodies (like vintage findings), good quality paper (and it has to be from the newest lines) and exciting embellishments. I'm really not a fan of alphas in kits, because I buy so many of them anyways.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

Price is important, but the more unique, and the more "me" the kit is, the more I am willing to pay!

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

I love artsy works, but think that a good design team has a mix of artists that are really good at thinking outside the box, combined with others that do more traditional works.

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?

Colorful, unique kits, a good blog with great DT inspiration, and good prices. I also like having the opportunity to choose from more than one kit a month.

Natalie Elphinstone said...

1-Are you subscribed to a kit club? If not, why? If you are, how many?
I used to be subscribed to one which promised (and delivered) great stuff in the beginning, but they slowly included less and less products in the kit for the same price. I'm now signed up to a different one.

2-What is most important to you? (you can choose more than one, just put them in order!)
1. Products in the kit is primary! but it's also great to see what the DT do with it (d) to gain inspiration. Sometimes just a stack of papers doesn't look like much, but to see what you can actually achieve with them makes you believe you can get the same great results!

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?
Not having to subscribe to one in America to get great products/deals when I live in Australia!

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?
Price of the kit is important, but so is knowing how much postage is going to be on top of it too.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...
I love the artsey!!

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?
My current kit club (Kreatorville Krafts) offers unique products. I get to choose (out of 3) a handmade title and embellishment every month. So not only do I get something unique, but I get to customise my kit to some degree as well.

a (needs to be versatile enough to use and not too artsy), e (love challenges and contests to motivate me to use what I get ), d(love to see how someone uses the kit ), b, c

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?

I love kits that come with cardstock that coordinates with the print paper and I love embellishment heavy kits.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

Very important. I want to get my money's worth but not have it so high that it takes up my whole scrapbook budget for the month.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

To me being published doesn't matter much. I like to see what newcomers are coming up with. I would LOVE to see layouts that I can scraplift. And there needs to plenty of room for journalling.

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?

A mix of boy and girl products, new products, embellishment additions, price, and the opportunity to skip a month if the choices just don't fit my scrap style.

1-Are you subscribed to a kit club? If not, why? If you are, how many? No, I don't subscribe to any but I have bought a few here and there. Our budget won't allow for a kit subscription every month at this time.

2-What is most important to you? (you can choose more than one, just put them in order!)

a) products in kit-- I like new stuff but coordinated with various company products and some vintage stuff thrown in. I love a good mixture.
b) offerings other than "main kit" (project kits, products used by designers, etc.)-- these can be fun too but I wish the price of these add-ons were cheaper not more than the main kit.
c) online community
d) designer (design team) examples/involvement/interaction
I like to see lots of examples with different styles to give me inspiration.
e) contests, challenges and blog activity
I like this stuff too.
3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?
Not so expensive and decent shipping fees.
4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

The most important thing to me is the product, then it would be ideas. To get the most ideas, it helps to have the design team + a community for members to post their projects

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join? Not really sure. I want unique product, lots of product & a fair price including shipping.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price? Since money is tight, price is super important.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers... Nothing specific, just good ideas. Variety w/ the layouts/projects, easy to follow, etc.

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join? ~~~~ This isn't a change in the one I am in just a something I think kit clubs should do. keep it fun, keep it real, keep it affordable, keep the shipping fast, so they are not waiting forever.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?
~~~Everyone wants latest and greatest but everyone cant afford everything. I like that you can have the bigger kits, but then. would love to see smaller kit versions of the huge kits for people that just cannot afford to pay 40 and 50 bucks for those huge kits every month. Some of us have medical issues and just cannot afford to pay big bucks for these kits every month.
5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...
~~~~~Techniques and fun ways and different ways to use the product. we know the tried and true methods. we know the obvious ways that things can be used. I want to think out of my box. I need to get my creative juices flowing again. Also show us how you did it and give us details on how WE AS THE EVERYDAY SCRAPPER CAN MAKE THIS WORK , or tell us about another example (ie a color that can be used with it or type of fabric a product can be used with) this can help them trigger a layout idea.) maybe a little tutorial or something.

1-Are you subscribed to a kit club? If not, why? If you are, how many?

I'm not subscribed to a kit club. I'm from Singapore so shipping is a major factor for me. Most of the time shipping is almost as much as the kit itself.

Also I find that in some kits, I would use only some of the products and I would not be interested in the rest.

Definately A. Products in the kit.

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?

If shipping to Singapore would be cheaper, I wouldn't mind signing up.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

Very important, mostly the shipping.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

More newcomers. It's nice to have upstarts with different styles and designs. Rather than the same few designers.

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?

The type of product. I prefer kit clubs that feature new releases because I may already have some of the products in the older collections. Or kits that have limited edition products that I can't get elsewhere.

In another note, because I'm overseas, I actually find it cheaper to make my own kit. I find out what's in the kits and then go out there and buy the individual products.

1-No. I once looked around but there are so many out there and looking and comparing wore me out...LOL..

2-What is most important to you?
a,e,d,c,b

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join? I don't really know...but a kit needs to include enough coordinated embellies, I think.

4-How important is price to you?
My budget is very limited and I would go with smaller price with less items than larger price with lots of items. Also, the shipping charge is important. Even if a kit is a great deal, if the shipping costs too much, it could be very expensive. I look at overall costs.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team?
The variety in styles

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering? I have never joined any kit club before. If I was going to join one, I would look at the design, products, manufacturers, price, everything. Even a kit looks fabulous, if the price is too high, I wouldn't buy it. Even when the price is reasonable, if the kit doesn't look good, I wouldn't buy it either. Sorry, I'm picky...

Only new products. Love exclusive products too!!

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price? Value is more important then price to me. If I'm getting products I want & can use and think I'm getting them for a reasonable price then I'm good.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Just great ideas...I don't necessarily care who the designers are.

Oh exciting changes a happenin'!!
1-Are you subscribed to a kit club? If not, why? If you are, how many? I don't because of cost and not finding the 'right' fit for me.

2-What is most important to you? (you can choose more than one, just put them in order!)
*Feel free to add notes!!
a) products in kit **YES! If it's something new and that I will use then I am more likely to buy it.

b) offerings other than "main kit" (project kits, products used by designers, etc.) ** I love it when they coordinate the extra kits to the main kit but where the add ons can be used without the main kit. I don't like it when the kits are pricey though. Oh and I love it when postage is free, for extra kits, when you purchase the main kit
c) online community **if it works
d) designer (design team) examples/involvement/interaction ** love to see DT inspiration not too fussed on the forum interaction side of things though
e) contests, challenges and blog activity **yes :)

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join? **new products mixed with hard to find products/kit only products.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price? Price is the selling point. I can' t afford to buy lots of products so kit is always a better buy but if it is priced outside my league I will look rather than purchase

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers... **people who a real, people who scrap from the heart, people who can use the kit to it's fullest, ie: love trying new techniques rather than same old

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?**new products in a fully coordinated kit. Oh and the bigger factor... one that will post international.

1. Yes I am subscribed to way to many to count!! Lol!! I used to belong to 12 but am down to 5 now.

2. a)Product, product, product!! The latest and the greatest! It helps if the kit has hard to find items in it as well something to make it well worth ordering and waiting for it!

3. I would change it so that it always included what I feel is the basics of embellishments that should always be in the kit month to month ie. flowers, ribbon or trim, & an alphabet be it chipboard,rub-on, or sticker!

4. Price is extremely important!! I want to feel that I am definitely getting my money's worth in awesome product!! Alot of kits clubs have lately dropped the amount of goods in the kit but kept the price the same which is very disappointing to me and is one of the reasons my subs have dropped to less kit clubs.

5. In a design team I would love to see it all!! A well rounded design team in my book is better by far then a bunch of popular published designers. I want to see it all because that way they will each have something that appeals to a wider range of scrappers!

6. Love this question!! To me what draws me to the ones I still belong to is the fact that they offer the most unique product selection and hard to find items! They also have something to make their club special that only they do!! They have found their specialty which is cool!!

1-Are you subscribed to a kit club? If not, why? If you are, how many?

at the moment, no. even though I see all the new kits from different sites and always want to click on the "subscribe" button. but I know I can't afford. so the main reason is because I the price. I understand it's because of all the awesome products that go into a kit but if a kit club could put less products in a kit so that the price could be cut a bit, I'd consider subscribing (:

2-What is most important to you? (you can choose more than one, just put them in order!)
*Feel free to add notes!!
a) products in kit
b) offerings other than "main kit" (project kits, products used by designers, etc.)

a, e, c

* design team if I'm part of it ;) kiddin'

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?

the price >.<
I mean, I do understand it's much cheaper than buying them individually but it's the price that makes me hesitate and groan when I can't get them ):

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

I would look at the price before the products. because I will be an international subscriber and postage always cost a bomb D:

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

perhaps something out of the box? I've been seeing a lot design team creations/inspirations and as lovely each different created product is made, it just seems to be all over the blogs.

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?

it would be the products in the kit. e.g. I adore kenner road's kits because they have vintage goodness in them (I'm a vintage junkie XD)

I hope this helps! (:

That the price is reasonable, and the embellishments vary.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?
Very important, perhaps levels so that the budget conscious can still have it, and add on's for those who are not budget conscious.

- I love embellishments in kits, and they must have good quality cardstock.

Price is always a BIG factor, and considering I live in South Africa, postage can come at a price, so price plays a big factor for me.

Price is important. but more for getting more than you would if you ordered items separately. Does that make sense... I want to get a good deal.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...
A variety. I love having designers who are known... if they're good. I also like outside-of-the-box designers. And designers who can include instructions for their projects.. or who will teach you new techniques.

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?

I also love embellishments and great cardstock in addition to the paper. I like kit clubs who offer more than one choice per month so I don't get stuck with a kit I won't use because it isn't my style of paper.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

Extremely - I don't mind paying more but I want to get a good value for that money. The first thing I think of is I don't want to spend $40 on the kit and then not able to afford some of the little extra's that would go well with the kit from the store. Also, providing an option to ship orders with your monthly kit (to save shipping costs) is a big concern.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

For me, published doesn't matter. I would like to see a variety of styles though. I don't like DT's where everyone's pages look like everyone elses. I like to see clean lines all the way to fussy pages to pages with extensive journaling room. Everyone needs some creative inspiration and so provide some different types. Also I love to see multiple picture layouts (both 1 and 2 pagers)and sketches that are worked with.

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?

I agree with Heather's comment of "New product, unusual embellishment additions, price, and the option to choose from more than one kit per month."

A, D, E, B, C

Contents and price point are the first things I look at.

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join? - I would like a kit club that actually charges LESS than the retail total of the products. I know that sounds odd, but for some reason, when I buy a 'collection' I expect a better price than the sum of its parts.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price? It is very important. It needs to reflect value

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

I like to see 'normal' crafters who create well and aren't already designing for everyone under the sun. I love finding new designers!

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering? - They have a LOT of product that coordinates really well. I like kits that have full packages rather than all bits and pieces (a few bits and pieces are okay, but I like to have my stickers and embellies in packages), and I love kits that add things like sprays, paints, small tools or other things that really last beyond that single kit.

e) contests, challenges and blog activity

3- Shipping costs need to be reasonable. Most that I've found are charging too much for shipping.

4-Price is key, with minimal shipping charges (no add-ons for shipping)

5-Examples using the kits, designers rotated frequently.

6-LOTS of current stuff, low shipping

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?

*make them smaller (less amount of stuff cheaper cost.) I know it is fun to get alot of stuff in your kits, but it seems like so many layouts get made on one kit and it feels like all my stuff starts to look the same.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

*I like to get a good deal, make it worth it instead of going to my local scrap store and get the same or similar stuff for cheaper or same cost. Also don't make it that you have to get the kit monthly to get a good deal. Not everyone is going to like every months kit. I don't want to get stuck with something I can't use.

i think the (A) products in the kit are most important-- cuz ya know the kit has to have good stuff in it :) lol
then in order from there --
D,B,E
3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?
more embellies :) I LOVE ♥embellies! so the MORe the better!
also -- i think discounted shipping if you sub to the kit or if you buy more then 1 or something like that -- shipping has gotten so expensive everywhere, i think discounted or free shipping gets ppl to buy more, kwim? the store i use most online (scrapfeak.com) does free shipping if you buy $60 or more -- & I almost ALWAYS spend that $60 to get the free shipping :) lol

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?
i dont think kits should be super expensive -- like 1 i used to sub to started getting upwards of $40 a month & I just couldnt keep that one cuz i wasnt getting enough for the price & could buy so much more for my money NOT buying a kit, kwim?
5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...
as long as they are inspirational, thats all that matters :)i love to see all the different things that different ppl create with the same kit :)

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?
i love the studio calico kits because they are so original! they have a really good mix of pps & embellies! & I love that they have the different kits that i can add on! & that they ship the additional kits free with the main kit -- & whatever u buy from the store also ships for free with the main. i love all the DT stuff too!! the SC DT does so much stuff with the kits & they are such a great group of extremely talented scrappers :) they inspire me every time, & I love looking thru their gallery for ideas of what to do with the kits

good luck!! ur DT looks great! & the kit sneaks that i saw on megan's blog look great!!! cant wait to see
take care

variety of paper lines in each kit. ones that may compliment each other, but not all the same manufacturer. Also, unique embellishments.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

Price is important. I want to feel that I am getting a deal buying a kit. If it is a fabulous kit, I don't mind paying a little more though. And shipping...really high shipping costs have stopped me from buying a kit on a couple of occasions.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

I like the option of optin out of a kit. I wouldn't mind paying for a 6 mo. subscription if say you could opt out of one month if the kit really isn't for you.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?
As far as price goes, the part that I really look at is shipping. If I'm paying say $30 for the kit, I don't want to pay $10 for shipping.

I just joined and after a horrific fall when I didn't have time to touch a single one of six kits, I quit. (In the future I intend to move around and check others out.) I have been checking out a lot of clubs and find that a majority seem to have similar prices and quality ingredients. I love those that sneak in samples of all kinds of embellies that you might not find yourself. I have loved my kits--every darned one of them. For me it boils down to this: I don't think the designers/ideas are spectacular in my club. The blog is stale and infrequent. The support--blog, ideas, galleries--is what counts. I love new ideas, but I'm not tied to layouts that take hours of misting, masking, sewing, etc. I love them an try all kinds of new things, but show me some easy ones too. A variety of styles. Also, make it EASY to scroll around and find ideas without opening up twenty windows and having 1 inch layouts visible. Plus DO NOT MAKE THE BACKGROUND OF THE BLOG BLACK (sorry--LOVE your store/staff-- HATE black blogs). Seriously. . .there are tons of great kit clubs with spectacular product and similar prices. So for me it totally comes down to support, ideas, EASY gallery to get around in. I scraplift--I am not that creative. I need the support.

All of the above are important to me!

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?

I don't think I'd really want to change anything about the club. I wish I lived closer to some of the members, I consider them my friends.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

The price was a big factor for me. I loved some of the products offered by other clubs, but could not afford the price tag!

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

I think it's important to remember not all the club members are at an advanced level, and to offer some basics, as well as more advanced techniques.

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?

I would say the quality and variety of the kits at an affordable price. The community is very important to me, as well!

1. Yes, I subscribe to one kit club(I would subscribe to at least 7 but...umm...I don't have a money tree)

2. a, e, d, c, b

3. Kit club I subscribe to has a main kit sub and offers additional kits-- I would make it a choice between receiving the main kit or an add on because sometimes I like the addons more than main kit and they usually seem to have about the same amount of product (maybe a little less). Also, I would allow subscribers to skip kits with advance notice.

4.Price is important! There is one kit company that does not have a sub & it's first come first serve everytime a kit is released. I have ordered a few even though they are higher priced kits. I order because I know they are jam-packed with product and they are worth the extra $20-25 more than other kits cost.

I must have several printed papers from various manufacters and embellishments galore, and of course some bazzil cardstock! As long as I'm getting my money's worth and getting the newest and most creative products I don't mind paying a little extra.

5. I would like to see a DT that will offer fresh new ideas on techniques and design. A mix of published and newcomers would be ideal.

6. I'm drawn to the kit club I subscribe to and to the ones I occasionally order from because they offer a mix of products. I don't like kit clubs that just include an entire line of one manufactuer (I can go buy an entire line on my own). I like them because they offer the newest products on the market, include speciality paper and embellishments, they sponsor challenges, and have diverse DT's. Also because they have very active blogs, galleries, message boards, and on-line scrapathons. And also because their customer service is stellar!

Thanks for asking our opinion! I'm looking forward to Feb 5!!! kit sneaks and dt sneaks look amazing!

3-If you could change one thing about a kit club your in.... or what change would make you want to join?

add less paper and more embellishments and also let us opt out of kits for that month if they don't appeal to us.

4-How important is price to you? What comes to your mind first when talking about kit clubs and price?

I determine how large the kit is for the money and really focus on shipping. I shy away for clubs that have high shipping and that adds crazy shipping increases for even the smallest additional purchase. At that point, It becomes cheaper for me to go to a local scrapbook store.

5-What do you want to see in a Design Team? Published, more "artsey", newcomers...

The well known people are great at what they do but, I would love to see some fresh ideas from newcomers. Also, artsey is always nice!

6-There are a TON of kit clubs out there, right... so what draws you to the ones you have subscribed to or are considering?

Exclusive items. The clubs I'm with now has exclusive stamps and/or papers. Etsy items in a kit are a winner. Variety is key. I cancelled a club because the majority of items in the kits were from one product line. One month it was majority Pink Paislee, another Basic Grey and so on.

Most important to me? I guess would be the quality of the product and if it is stuff that I would actually use.
